The science is based on an amino compound constantly emitting ions of silver that kill bacteria, which settles on the surface of the floor.
Silver is a natural element renowned for its ability to purify and protect from bacterial infections – and provides an attractive and environmentally friendly alternative to chemically manufactured antimicrobial additives.
Polygiene® offers total protection against a host of bacteria, yeast and moulds thanks to a continuous migration of silver ions that are delivered to the contact surface where they begin to attack gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
The process remains active throughout the lifetime of the floor, even when damaged or worn, unlike coatings or surface treatments.
Although good hygiene practices can help to prevent the spread of bacteria they are not always entirely reliable. Polygiene® offers continuous protection for all environments where hygiene is of the utmost importance such as the food and drinks industry as well as the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
