A Flowcrete floor is making the right first impression at a new underground car park servicing Luxembourg-Findel International Airport’s latest terminal building.
The Airport, located 6km northeast of Luxembourg City, services flights to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Zürich, London as well as other destinations in mainland Europe. The new terminal building, which was officially opened earlier this year, offers passengers various benefits including enhanced comfort, shorter under-cover routes into the building from the car park as well as less artificial light on account of improved Green design.
A massive 120,000m² of Flowcrete’s protective car park coating, Deckshield ED, have been installed across four decks of the terminal’s underground car parking facility to OS11 standard, creating a stylish first impression for visitors to the site.
Deckshield ED was applied in mid grey, with the addition of Deckshield Linemarker in white, yellow and blue to create demarcation lines and informative signage. Deckshield is a flexible, solvent-free polyurethane deck coating system, not only is the system fire and chemical-resistant, it is low in volatile organic compounds (VOC’s).
