Flowcrete has been involved in a prestigious flooring application in conjunction with Hong Kong based property development organisation, Henderson Land.
The company, whose principal activities are property development and investment, project management, construction, hotel operation, department store operation, finance, investment holding and infrastructure, is the third largest Hong Kong real estate developer by market capitalisation.
The Head Offices of Henderson Land are located in the high-rise AIA Tower, one of the territory’s 20 year old buildings and the 99th tallest building on Hong Kong.
A project to upgrade the entire property included the six-storey car-park where the condition of the original concrete surface was very poor and unattractive. Requiring the latest technology, Henderson Land selected Flowcrete’s waterproof, elastomeric Deckshield system due to its long-standing track record both in Hong Kong and around the world.
The specification also called special colours to coordinate with the colour scheme of the interior car park walls and columns. A total of 8,500m² of Deckshield was installed over the six levels and connecting ramps. The high quality, light reflective finish completes the image of the upgraded building and will deliver superior hard-wearing and abrasion resistant properties for years to come.
