Flowcrete’s Floorzone Concept Takes Top Award at Interbuild

The company secured the Interbuild Specifier award for Floorzone, which judges felt addresses the need for a more sustainable built environment.

Flowcrete’s Floorzone caters for the complete floor area and incorporates Flowcrete’s Isocrete Acoustic K system, Isowarm Underfloor Heating, Isocrete K-Screed and decorative resin finishes.

The entire Floorzone package is designed, manufactured and supplied by Flowcrete and installed by Flowcrete approved contractors.

Judge Michael Ankers OBE, Chief Executive of the Construction Products Association said: “Flowcrete is worthy winner of this award, bringing innovation in both product and process to Interbuild Specifier 2009."

Floorzone offers a range of benefits - including the delivery of heating out of sight, with no risk of injuries from hot surfaces through the use of Isowarm underfloor heating. This system also offers energy savings of up to 30 per cent compared to conventional heating systems whilst delivering a healthier environment.

Flowcrete has recently launched a brochure dedicated to flooring in the education sector.  Entitled ‘Transforming Education Environments’ the guide brings together a broad range of information - including details on sustainability and sector specific case studies showcasing flooring projects across the UK.

The award marks a successful year to date for the company, which has seen Flowcrete also secure the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, in the International Trade category – and take Highly Commended in the Product Manufacturer of the Year title in the Contract Journal Awards.
