A project to upgrade one of the busiest car parks on Hong Kong Island, owned by Vinci Park Services, has seen Flowcrete’s Deckshield materials installed under a quick turnaround to ensure that the facility was able to remain operational throughout.
Flowcrete’s Deckshield system was chosen for the project to replace the existing and badly degraded epoxy coating at its Admiralty office, located at the eastern end of Hong Kong’s central business district.
Flowcrete’s waterproof car park deck coating system, Deckshield was specified by Vinci Park Services following visits to a number of reference sites in Hong Kong, where the materials had already been installed – including one parking structure that five years on not only continues to perform well but continues to look good.
A total of 20,000m² of Deckshield was installed at the two multi-level car park blocks in specially formulated colours. The end result is a high quality, light reflective finish with high hard-wearing and abrasion resistant properties that will deliver superior performance for many years to come.
